    If I change the PID to some other number (new to my development PC), it does enumerate correctly. My development PC had previously tried to enumerate the device when it had the same VID/PID combo, but with different descriptors/metadata.

    Beware of the issue with vm OS installs as they do not load the basic usb drivers into windows because they do not detect any USB devices during OS install. Connect the machine to the device via the client and voila it shows up in device manager.
